Description:
The Chocolate Church Arts Center is a cultural non-profit located in historic Bath, Maine.
For more than 32 years the Chocolate Church Arts Center has been a cultural resource for residents of Sagadahoc and surrounding counties of Androscoggin, Knox, Lincoln, Cumberland and Kennebec. The center piece facility is the former Central Congregational Church an 1847 Gothic revival structure designed by noted architect Arthur Gilman. The Annex provides space for smaller performances, rehearsals, gallery and the administrative offices.
The Chocolate Church Arts Center has as its mission the presentation of music, theatre and the visual arts. In addition we are charged with the care and maintenance of our historic buildings including the former Central Congregational Church completed in 1847 by architect Arthur Gilman and local master builder Isaiah Coombs.
